Fantastic recipes, gorgeous photos, funny, down-to-earth writing- what more can you ask for? Each recipe is accompanied by step-by-step photos which are pretty helpful in illustrating what to do. I've really enjoyed every recipe I've tried- the cinnamon rolls are my current favorite. A word of warning, though: many of the recipes, while absolutely delicious, are not exactly diet friendly.

I have been a fan of PW's blog for a few years, so I was really excited when her cookbook was published! It did not disappoint. I've tried many of the recipes and they have become family favorites, especially the Twice-Baked Potatoes! If you're looking for good food that is easy on the cook and family-friendly, this is the cookbook for you.

Product details 304 pages William Morrow Cookbooks - English 9780061658198 Reviews:
"Publishers Weekly Review" by , "Blogger-turned-author Drummond gives readers a slice of frontier life in this likeable-enough collection of recipes and dispatches from the Oklahoma ranch she shares with her husband and children. Replicating the step-by-step photography that made her blog such a hit, Drummond walks readers through dishes ranging from simple — Guacamole, Chili, Artichoke Dip — to more complex, such as from-scratch Cinnamon Rolls and Sherried Tomato Soup. Drummond's careful coaching will help anyone intimidated by the kitchen fearlessly crank out favorites like Chicken Fried Steak, Meat Loaf and Rib Eye Steak with Whiskey Cream Sauce. While the recipes are reliable home cooking standards, relentless references to her husband, known as the Marlboro Man, range from distracting to juvenile, giving what could have been a comfort food classic the feel of a junior-high class project." Publishers Weekly (Copyright Reed Business Information, Inc.)
"Review" by , "[Ree Drummond is] funny, enthusiastic and self-deprecating, making the book appeal to pavement-pounders and pioneer types alike [with] recipes like steak with whiskey cream sauce, leek and potato pizza and pico de gallo. As a portrait of a real American family kitchen, it works."
"Review" by , "Drummond invites fans into her world with irresistible recipes and photos.... Here's a mom of four who can turn out a Perfect Pot Roast and make feasts for girlfriends that start with sangria and finish with creme brulee. It's sweet and seductive: You'll want to plunge right in."
"Review" by , "Drummond's writing style is closer to a good friend dishing out advice than an expert telling people want to do."
"Review" by , "[Ree Drummond] whips up mouthwatering meals with easy-to-find ingredients (she's miles away from restaurants and supermarkets) and shares what living in a not-so-little house on the prairie is really all about."
"Review" by , "Need to know how to make the 'Marlboro Man Sandwich' for your hubby? Get the skinny at The Pioneer Woman Cooks! site."
"Synopsis" by , Paula Deen meets Erma Bombeck in The Pioneer Woman Cooks, Ree Drummond's spirited, homespun cookbook. Drummond colorfully traces her transition from city life to ranch wife through recipes, photos, and pithy commentary based on her popular, award-winning blog, Confessions of a Pioneer Woman, and whips up delicious, satisfying meals for cowboys and cowgirls alike made from simple, widely available ingredients.

The Pioneer Woman Cooks — and with these "Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl", she pleases the palate and tickles the funny bone at the same time.

"Synopsis" by ,

The Boiardi name has reached tables across America for more than 70 years. Most Americans have fond memories of this iconic brand, evoking nostalgia for a simpler time. From a very young age, Anna Boiardi spent countless hours helping her mother and grandmother, kneading and folding, and listening to stories as rich as the tortellini she and her mother would work to perfection. Now, for the first time, Anna brings us the authentic recipes that inspired the brand, including Ravioli with Ricotta and Squash Filling, Cotechino with Lentils, and Baked Fennel with Butter and Parmesan. Recipes for sauces, meats, and of course pasta dishes are just some of the secrets Anna shares in Delicious Memories.

Praise for Delicious Memories:

"Anna carried on her family's culinary tradition; her new book, Delicious Memories, is part cookbook, part family history, and part homage to her ancestors-immigrants who made their way in a new country."and#160;

-NPRand#160;

"Delicious Memories . . . written by Anna Boiardi, the granddaughter of Mario Boiardi . . . is filled with fabulous-looking dishes that appear to not come out of a can."and#160;

-USA Today

"You won't find the secret recipe for Beefaroni in the book-but you will discover how to make the tomato sauce that turned her family into an American sensation."and#160;

-New York Post

"Aside from the classic fare, [Boiardi] includes some recipes for unexpected dishes such as potato salad Italian style, apple cider rosemary roast chicken, and baked cauliflower. Enhanced with striking full-color photos throughout, this loving paean to home-style Italian cooking and the culinary traditions of a family dynasty rooted in food offers just the right balance of nostalgia and appetizing recipes."and#160;

-Publishers Weeklyand#160;

"If you've never been excited by Chef Boyardee's spaghetti and ravioli dinners, fear not-there's much more to the Boiardi family's recipes than what you've seen in the supermarket."and#160;

-Library Journal

and#160;"To Anna, food is not just a family business, it's a family passion, something that she has known ever since she was young and hopes to carry on for the rest of her life."and#160;
