I was first introduced to Pete the Cat at a library story-time and was impressed by his cool. When Pete's favorite white shoes get covered in strawberries, does he cry? Oh, no, he just keeps singing his song and rolling along. He keeps stepping in different-colored stuff (teaches colors), singing a song (fun to sing with the kiddos), and doesn't go into meltdown mode when something bad/unexpected happens (hopefully teaches kids not to go into meltdown mode when something bad/unexpected happens). This is one *groovy* book!

I love using this book with my kindergarten and first grade students. We make a class book for it as well with each students' picture and what color shoes they like. This is a must have for primary teachers.

Product details 40 pages Harper - English 9780061906220 Reviews:
"Synopsis" by ,
An inspiring picture book about a brave cat who has the courage to bounce back from a frightening fall from the tiptop of the world. A must-have, modern classic. The perfect addition to a child's first library.
"Synopsis" by ,
A curious cat plus a big fall leads to squashed confidence. How this cat bounces back will encourage readers everywhere to try, try again.
"Synopsis" by , Pete the Cat goes walking down the street wearing his brand new white shoes. Along the way, his shoes change from white to red to blue to brown to WET as we steps in piles of strawberries, blueberries and other big messes! But no matter what color his shoes are are, Pete keeps movin' and groovin' and singing his song...because it's all good.
