I read this book for a class project. I thought it would be just violent gang book which it is I guess, but it is also much more then that. S.E.Hinton makes all the characters relatable to and so real.... It's like your there and you can see them at the movie theater or the abandoned church. I would be laughing one moment and the next bursting into tears. Whatever kind of books you like, this is a must read.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH. You can experience the conflict between the best of buds and brothers of the characters Ponyboy, Sodapop, Jhonny, Dallas, Two-bit nd so much more. This book is about the life of two seperated groups of people named the Greasers and the Socials(abbrev.socs). Ponyboys's group is the greasers and do they long to kill the socials. Please read this book and read what I have read! You will love it no doubt!

"Synopsis" by , A landmark work of American fiction, now for the first time in Penguin Classics

First published in 1967, S. E. Hintons novel was an immediate phenomenon. Today, with more than eight million copies sold and now available with a perceptive introduction by Jodi Picoult, The Outsiders continues to resonate with its powerful portrait of the bonds and boundaries of friendship.

In Ponyboys world there are two types of people. There are the Socs, the rich society kids who get away with anything. Then there are the greasers, like Ponyboy, who arent so lucky. Ponyboy has a few things he can count on: his older brothers, his friends, and trouble with the Socs, whose idea of a good time is beating up greasers. At least he knows what to expectuntil the night things go too far.

"Synopsis" by , First published in 1967 and with more than 8 million copies sold, this novel continues to resonate with its powerful portrait of the bonds and boundaries of friendship.
