This wonderful book is now on the Best Seller List. The author. an M.D. with a specialized background in the science of nutrition, has created a plant-based diet that creates, improves and maintains great health. I didn't start to follow his program to lose weight but most people who follow it do lose. Rather I chose to follow his program to improve health. There is information about nutrition in this book that will astound you. The traditional American diet of animal products and dairy is extremely harmful to health and Dr. Furhman has the science to back up that statement.The whole book is a fascinating
read from start to finish. And he does finish with wonderful receipes to help the reader adapt to his program. A Ten!!

Joel Fuhrman has a huge presence in the national media when it comes to diet and nutrition, but he is not a health huckster or a fanatic. His nutrition plan is based on eating real, whole, nutrient-rich foods. This is a revised edition of an esteemed book that has helped thousands of his patients and customers lose weight, fend off disease, and improve their overall state of health. He can help people lose weight fast without painful cravings. I read a lot of diet books (in an attempt to maintain a healthy weight), and Fuhrman's advice is supported by both clinical research and common sense. He really gives people a sense of hope that they can meet their weight loss goals.
