Gossip Girl novels are very popular and i can see why once u enter u cant extract yourself... Its the story of rich teenagers in NYC making there way through highschool envolving boy relationships and best friends and there troubles and they mention fashion designers that are very popular right now.... its very entertainging but i recomend it for the ages of 14 and up

Gossip Girl is the best book I have ever read! It reveals all the secrets and gossip from the world a lot of us could only dream of, that is the one where you go and buy designer bags worth $2000 every day! These girls and guys know how to live the life and it's exciting to read about the crazy adventures they get up to! It is a fantastic book for girls in high school as it has backstabbing, cheating, and all that jazz! Overall i love this book and i strongly advise you go and buy it now!

Little Brown and Company -
by Publishers Weekly,
"Though anyone hoping for character depth or emotional truth should look elsewhere, readers who have always wished Danielle Steel and Judith Krantz would write about teenagers are in for a superficial, nasty, guilty pleasure. The book has the effect of gossip itself — once you enter it's hard to extract yourself; teens will devour this whole."
"There isn't much depth to the novel's cast. Then again, beautiful people are pretty shallow to begin with. Author Cecily von Ziegesar colors her characters with lots of pretty clothes from big-name designers, making this tale sort of like a fashion magazine without the pictures....The vindictive nature and scandal give the novel a Melrose Place feel with characters you'll love to hate....Gossip Girl is the perfect vacation book. Pack it in your beach bag and go. The dirty deeds of these naughty rich kids make for great weekend reading."
A hot new novel that explores the scandalous and sophisticated lives of youngwomen at an elite private high school.
Its Gossip Girl for Connecticuts Gold Coast.” Publishers Weekly
When jealousies run rampant and dark secrets are uncovered, the sisters realize that there is a dark side to paradise in this breathless romance perfect for fans of ABC's REVENGE.
Alice and Charlie havent stopped fighting since they arrived in Serenity Point two weeks ago. Those two weeks changed their lives. And Serenity Point has changed them.
Charlie has a new group of friends and a new life. Jude and Cybill are beautiful, exciting, and dangerously seductive. And though Sasha is proving to be a friend and confidante to Alice, Alice cant get away from the people, places, and events that mire her in the past.
Alice loves Tommy, but the memory of Camilla, dead and gone, is driving a wedge between them. And Alices ex-boyfriend Patrick wont give up on her, no matter what she says to keep him away. Jude is slowly giving up his bad boy ways for Charlie—but Cybill continues to come between them. And then Nick arrives: Dr. Van Strattens former intern seems to know things about last summer— things that Jude and Tommy would rather not be revealed. Alice is determined to find out what.
While the sisters grapple with the terrible truth about their family, the one-year memorial of Camillas death looms. The tension mounts and sparks fly as bright as July Fourth fireworks. Alice and Charlie are desperate to find out the truth that everyone seems to be hiding.
Is Camilla their enemy and rival—even six feet under? Or is she their sister, whose memory they have to protect? And what really happened to her that night on the bridge? In a town built on secrets and lies, can the truth stay buried for long?
Welcome to New York City's Upper East Side, where my friends and I live, go to school, play, and sleep--sometimes with each other.
S is back from boarding school, and if we aren't careful, she's going to win over our teachers, wear that dress we couldn't fit into, steal our boyfriends' hearts, and basically ruin our lives in a major way. I'll be watching closely...
