Good books are usually surprising books -- where you find yourself responding to something you might never have expected to enjoy. That was Room -- with the additional surprise of seeing where it went that I didn't anticipate. This is all without the wonder of the prose style and the voice -- the young child who tells the tale. Terrific book!
