I loved the naive yet wise voice of the narrator. Once the early suspense was past, it was wonderful to see our world through fresh eyes.

Good books are usually surprising books -- where you find yourself responding to something you might never have expected to enjoy. That was Room -- with the additional surprise of seeing where it went that I didn't anticipate. This is all without the wonder of the prose style and the voice -- the young child who tells the tale. Terrific book!
