Julie Garwood is one of the most talented writer that I've had the pleasure of coming across. My favorite book from her has got to be Shadow Dance. It combines two of her minor charcters from her other books to make an amazing piece of fiction. There's a perfect amount of suspense, romance, and humor all in one book. In my opinion, no other book I've read has caught my attention like this has.

I am a fan of Julie Garwood, and enough of a fan that I keep my copies of the books she wrote for the pleasure of re-reading them. So when I was very disappointed to find this book seems to be a catch-all of intriguing ideas, exaggerated characters, unrelated events and the contents of the round file, and out of keeping with her previous books, I went back and re-read two of her recent books just to be sure it was the same author. Having done that, I am even more disappointed in this book. Sigh. I hope to have better luck the next time I buy one of her books.
