This was far and away my favorite book read in 2012. The dystopian setting he's created here is one which i found entirely and frighteningly plausible and I was often surprised and captivated by the turns the story took. It kept me deeply interested from about 50 pages in until the end. That having been said, it did take some effort to move beyond the initial pages but t's one of those books for me that left me feeling sad that it was over and i look forward to his next novel.

I'm kind of surprised it took so long for someone to write a sci fi novel about the possible future we face with continued use of GMOs in agriculture. Nice that it came from a newcomer to the field. Very intelligent and nicely drawn.

Bio-terrorism, genetically modified humans, poverty & new diseases. It is a detailed story, winding more and more threads into it as you go along. Somewhat depressing, somewhat uplifting. I kept going back for more details when I was done!

Provocative, brilliant, and very relevant, this is a sharp and all-too possible novel exploring a post-"collapse" future in Thailand. The novel is both comprehensive and exquisitely detailed, and will keep you guessing until the end.
