About the Author

Torey Hayden is an educational psychologist and a former special education teacher who, since 1979, has chronicled her struggles in the classroom in a succession of bestselling books. She currently lives and writes in North Wales, U.K., with her husband and daughter.

Iread the book Mid year of 1999 i borrowed from the City Library in Cape Town. I feel inlove with the book from the onset i connected with it from the time i read it i could not put it down i finished it the same day i had borrowed it. Results i ended up writing poem for the first time in my life entitled the "GIFT". I felt for the child in such a way that i connected it with myself growing without a father made life difficult for me because did not think i was good enough i blamed myself that my father left me. i relate with molestation as well. The book helped me to deal with unresolved issues that i had hidden deep within because of pain. i cried a lot but i healed as well. thank you Torey you are an amazing writer.

This book was amazing! I loved the emotion, and the storyline. There is nothing I don't like about this book. Although I have one question. Torey why did you ever leave Sheila? Oh, and why didn't you marry Chad?
Other then that I think your an amazing autor, person and role model.
