About the Author

Lee Child is the author of eleven Jack Reacher thrillers, including the New York Times bestsellers Persuader, the Barry Award Winner The Enemy, The Hard Way, and One Shot, which has been optioned for a major motion picture by Paramount Pictures. His debut, Killing Floor, won both the Anthony and Barry Awards for Best First Mystery. Foreign rights in the Jack Reacher series have sold in more than 40 territories. I enjoyed this latest Jack Reacher novel. My late husband was a fan and got me hooked. Reacher is a complex character who pulls no punches (pun intended).
Not for the squeamish, but all true patriots should give positive reviews. Animal lover that I am, I could not in good conscience give the novel 5 stars--4 1/2 OK!

"You do not mess with the special investigators."

Reacher is back. Some of the "old team" is missing, and the others band together to find them out what's happened.

Jack Reacher is an old-school hero. Since leaving the military he's traveled at will, but always manages to find a wrong to right or a damsel in distress to save.

It can be a little too predictable and pat, but mostly, it works.
