He is the Lorax, who speaks for the trees for the trees have no tongues.

I can and probably will not forget these words I have known since age five.

Enough said.

In light of the recent non-conference in Copenhagen, I recommend that we all start over with The Lorax to see if we can't get it right before it's too late...

I speak for the trees; this is a great book. It teaches kids in an easy way to understand the importance of taking care of the planet. My husband uses this book in his classroom around Earth Day every year no matter what grade level he is working with.
It has a wonderful message but did not loose the bright colors, wonderful characters, and expressivce language Dr. Seuss is so well known for. A perfect book for any reader from age 3 to 93. I love this book!

"Synopsis" by , "Unless someone like you...cares a whole awful lot...nothing is going to get better...It's not."

Long before saving the earth became a global concern, Dr. Seuss, speaking through his character the Lorax, warned against mindless progress and the danger it posed to the earth's natural beauty.
