My husband calls these vampire bodice rippers. I love them for their ability to whisk me away from the present into the world of the supernatural. Anita Blake, vampire executioner, member of not one, but two triumvirates, and girlfriend to one hot Master of the City - she's a woman making it in a man's world and she's right in the middle of all the power, sex, mystery, sex, violence, intrigue, sex, politics, and did I mention the sex?
