This series grabs you hard and doesn't let you go until you've had the thrill ride of your life! Not my usual cup of tea, my tastes run more to different type of fiction, but I LOVE THIS SERIES! Mercy Rocks!

This whole series caught me by surprise. I love the characters, they seem so real even though they are "supernatural." Patricia Briggs has really shown what women deal with - Wanting to be loved yet also wanting to maintain independence.

The story revolves around a Native American shape shifting young woman, by the name of Mercy, who had been raised by Werewolves. The Fae had "come out of the closet" but the rest of the Supernatural Community had not. The Fae had been treated a lot like the Native Americans had - moved to reservations. They could live outside of them, but often did not because the general population had such a fear of them. She has now moved to Eastern Washington and was trying to lead a quiet life, when an Alpha werewolf moves next door and proceeds to pursue her romantically; without her cooperation - for awhile. Because of her shapeshifting abilities, she is asked for help by friend and foe alike. Each book has had her helping solve supernatural crime.

I Highly recommend to anyone who wants an easy and quick, yet engrossing read. I would say the books would be age appropriate for ages 13 and up. Though, in Iron Kissed (3rd book of series) Mercy is raped. It is but isnt graphic. Confused? Well, the way it is written it is obvious she was violated, but Patricia does it decently w/o a lot of graphic imagery. I decided to let my 13 year old read the series, just because it shows how easy a woman can be taken advantage of (A magical drink drugged her). How a woman's guard must be up even after meeting a person several times. But, that is for each parent to decide.

I hope you enjoy the series as much as I do. From what Patricia's blog has said, there are 2 more books (at least) contracted to go. YAY!
