I have yet to read Hitch-22, it is next on my list. Christopher Hitchens is a first rate writer. Factual, straight up, on target, a true literary fighter, powerfull speaker, and formidable opponent. I look foward to seeing him at Powell's on the 23rd.

by Kirkus Reviews,
"Hitchens offers an engrossing account of his lives as a British Navy brat, a socialist activist and a leading essayist and intellectual of our time....Revealing and riveting."
"Few authors can rile as easily as Hitchens does.... He makes you want to be as good a reader as he is a writer."
by Library Journal,
"Not only is the writing original and flowing, but this memoir is brimming with political and cultural insights. A reader may disagree with Hitchens's take on the world, but his writing wins the day."
by Washington Post,
"A fat and juicy memoir of a fat and juicy life."
Over the course of his 60 years, Hitchens has been both a foreign correspondent in some of the world's most dangerous places and a legendary bon vivant with an unquenchable thirst for alcohol and literature. This is the story of his life, lived large.
