'After many years as a successful Wall Street insider, Doug Roberts discovered something that would forever change the way he looked at investing. During his time on \"the Street,\" he began to notice that small and mid-sized companies prospered when the Federal Reserve Bank made it easier for them to borrow money. Conversely, he saw that those same companies struggled when the Fed made it more difficult to borrow. However, large companies didn\'t seem to have these problems and continued to expand all the time.

Through years of research and analysis, Roberts found that there\'s a direct correlation between stock market performance and the actions of the Federal Reserve Bank. He went on to prove his theory by testing it back to the Crash of 1929. In watching how the Fed influenced the availability of money and credit—and simply shifting funds between large and small stocks as little as one to two times per year—Roberts was able to outperform the S&P 500 as well as the vast majority of mutual funds. He continued to develop a system based on these findings, adding a few more measures to enhance its performance, and his Follow the Fed® strategy was born.

Now, in Follow the Fed to Investment Success, Roberts skillfully outlines this proven approach, takes you step by step through implementing his strategy, and reveals how easy it can be to create true wealth in today\'s market. Roberts also offers brief, but fascinating insights into the creation of the Federal Reserve and how it works.

Filled with in-depth insights and expert advice, this engaging guide will change the way you think about your money and your future, as it:

  • Discusses the best ways to integrate the Follow the Fed strategy into your own portfolio, even if you are limited to a 401(k) or other retirement vehicles

  • Presents twenty-two essential lessons that will help you navigate today\'s dynamic investment environment, while taking back control of your money and your life

  • Offers an insider\'s look at how Wall Street works and why the odds have been stacked against you

  • And much more

For those who want to build true wealth in today\'s markets, Follow the Fed to Investment Success offers an easy-to-understand approach to investing that anyone can implement—with little effort and even less time.

Book News Annotation:

Roberts, a Wall Street financial advisor and noted expert on the Federal Reserve Bank, offers this guide to how the stock market and the Fed are intertwined, and how investors can take advantage of this fact. Stressing that these strategies do not require a large amount of knowledge about the Fed, the author has designed his program around real families with real priorities by showing how to develop a portfolio around 401Ks and other retirement programs. Plenty of glossaries and appendixes are included to define common investment practices for inexperienced investors. Annotation ©2008 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)

Praise for Follow the Fed to Investment Success

"Facts are facts, numbers don't lie, and Doug's Follow the Fed investment strategies make sense for the vast majority of people. . . . It is easy, inexpensive, and, over time, should make you a lot of money."

—HILARY KRAMER, AOL Finance Editor

"As a multi billion-dollar investor in hedge funds and a money manager, it is clear that Doug has written a book that provides one-stop shopping for the professional and novice all in one."

—ROBERT PICARD, Chief Investment Officer, Optima Fund Management

"I have known Doug Roberts for a long time, and have followed his career and research with great interest. Doug is always on the cutting edge when it comes to finding the simple way to do the things that Wall Street likes to complicate. With Follow the Fed, he has come up with a brilliant strategy that, over time, enables the average investor to create true wealth and financial security. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for great returns without making it a second career."

—Henry Fernandez, Chairman and CEO, MSCI Inc.

The way to create real wealth and invest for your future with minimal risk involves the least amount of work! Again: the investment strategy that has beaten the S&P 500 and most mutual funds for the past seventy years in testing requires only one or two trades every two years and does not rely on risky ventures or paying high fees to brokers. As a matter of fact, it can be accomplished using low-cost index mutual funds.

The conventional wisdom emphasized by Wall Street speaks to the importance of 'stock picking' and is designed to keep you dependent upon the investment community with its expensive fees and commissions. In Follow the Fed to Investment Success, you will learn how to easily beat the Wall Street experts at their own game—and you won't need a second career to do it!
