An amazing fantasy world that drags you in and just won't let go. I wasn't sure I would like it but, I am so happy to say that I absolutely love it and am already on the second book. I laughed and I cried. I have never read another book like it. I can definitely say this is going to be one of my favorite series.

2012 was the year I discovered George R.R. Martin and his wonderful world. A Song of Ice and Fire was imaginative, unique, enthralling and best of all, long! I spent hours reading the first book and am on the fifth in the series now. Definitely my favorite book of 2012!

This book, the first in the series, pulls you in as you get into it. However, the last few pages come as a complete surprise, leaving you exclaiming - WHAT???!!! Thus, you are hooked and must complete the subsequent books. Never have I read a book the likes of this.

Wasn't originally a fan of sci-fi/fantasy, but got completely lost in this book and it drove me to read the rest of the series.
