This book I read just a couple weeks ago, and I don't think there has been another so beautifully written story, touching my heart with every chapter! As you have/will learn, cats were not able to enter heaven, for they refused to pay homage to the Buddha. But when the artist includes a painting of a cat in his art for a Buddhist temple, the priest refuses it and decrees it must be destroyed. But what would come was a miracle, and a beautiful one it was. It brought me on the verge of tears.

I read this book when I was about 8 or 9 years old. The story was so moving to me that I remember it now, at the age of 51! It had a great impact on me spiritually and still brings tears to my eyes.
