"Publishers Weekly Review"
by Publishers Weekly,
"Teens who eagerly devour the latest issues of favorite fashion magazines will likely do the same with this photo-centric style guide. Each section offers advice about constructing a particular look — girly, edgy, boho, classic, glam, or indie — using essential layering pieces, followed by profiles of a 'real' girl and a celeb (Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens) who embodies that trend. Assorted 'Look Book' images feature models and pedestrians in eye-catching outfits, plus shopping tips. Most readers will find that their preferences lie somewhere in between the categories, and Shoket encourages experimentation; a closing section devoted to finding flattering jeans, swimsuits, and bras for different body types will give readers a foundation upon which to build a unique aesthetic.
