Fellow Adventure Seekers:

In the winter of 1928, the Prescott family contacted me about joining an expedition to the Amazon jungle in search of their missing son, Louis. The following is an account of our ill-fated journey into the unknown. It is a tale of adventure, mystery, and intrigue.
I didn’t leave anything out because I knew you’d be interested in hearing all the astonishing details—attacking snakes, foreboding jungles, killer jaguars, pools of piranha, breathtaking cliffs and waterfalls, and yes, even a forbidden city—it’s all in here.   And a few other . . . surprises.   Take the leap with me. You’ll enjoy it.   Henry Wolfe, 1929

Synopsis:

In the late 1920s, Henry Wolfe is hired to go on a mission deep in the jungles of Venezuela to extract a wealthy family's missing son. Along the journey, Wolfe discovers that the key to eternal life is not just a myth--if one knows whom to ask.

Synopsis:

Henry Wolfe has a penchant for finding trouble. Or more precisely trouble usually finds him. It is the late 1920s and Wolfe, a traveling reporter/self-proclaimed adventurer, is hired to go on a mission deep into the dubious jungles of Venezuela.

Several months earlier, the son of a wealthy family disappeared during his search for a lost tride who reportedly had found the key to eternal life. Wolfe is a last-minute replacement on the team to go find and extricate the son, no matter what.

No white man has ever gone down this Venezuelan river path and returned alive. Local tribesman and predators lurk in the leafy shadows as Henry and his team fight for their lives.
