Even though I am seventeen years old, some people tell me that these books are for younger children. I have all of these books and I love reading then, Even when I go to babysit younger children (ones that still like bed time stories) I take them with me, mostly because I can read then one and next time that I babysit then I read them the next one in the serise, a couple of times I had to leave my book(s) with them so that the next night there parents could read it to them. It is just so cute when they ask me if they can borrow the book from me.

"Staff Pick" by ,

For the first time in this wickedly popular series, Greg Heffley keeps his diary — ahem, make that "journal" — during summer vacation when he gets to be around his beloved family all the time! Aaagh! This hilarious comic/novel combo is the go-to pick for the reluctant reader in your life.

"Publishers Weekly Review" by , "Is there a better remedy for the back-to-school doldrums than getting to see how Greg Heffley spent his summer vacation? If nothing else, the comedy of errors and indignities he suffers will make readers feel a whole lot better about any family vacation disasters of their own. In the fourth book in Kinney's bestselling Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Greg has a falling-out with his friend Rowley over a failed lawn-care business, puts up with his parents' attempts to get him out of the house (Mom organizes a book club for boys — who pick out titles like Sudoku Insanity and Ultimate Video Game Cheats) and tries to shake off the twin horrors of the murderous muddy hand from a horror film he watches and the terrifying sights in the men's locker room at the pool. Kinney's gift for telling, pitch-perfect details in both his writing and art remains (such as the cursive script and cutesy content of Mom's photo album captions). No reason to think kids won't devour this book as voraciously as its predecessors. Ages 8–12." Publishers Weekly (Starred Review) (Copyright Reed Business Information, Inc.)
"Review" by , "[H]ilarious....[The] nods to reality add humor and depth to this title, consistent in style and substance with previous series entries, which fans new and old will savor."
"Synopsis" by , Kinney's New York Times-bestselling Wimpy Kid series returns with Book 4, which finds the "sarcastic and sharp-witted" (Toronto Globe and Mail) Greg on summer vacation with his family.
"Synopsis" by ,
Life was better in the old days. Or was it?

Thatand#8217;s the question Greg Heffley is asking as his town voluntarily unplugs and goes electronics-free. But modern life has its conveniences, and Greg isnand#8217;t cut out for an old-fashioned world.

With tension building inside and outside the Heffley home, will Greg find a way to survive? Or is going and#8220;old schooland#8221; just too hard for a kid like Greg?

"Synopsis" by , In the latest installment of the phenomenally bestselling Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, author-illustrator Jeff Kinney brings the series back to its roots, as Greg starts a new school year and faces a challenge he never couldand#39;ve imagined.
