After Kieslowski: The Legacy of Krzysztof Kieslowski

Editor Woodward (film and literature, Bishop's U., Canada) and 10 co- contributors examine the global influence of Polish filmmaker Krzysztof Kieslowski (1941-1996). Although Kieslowski's Polish and international work has not been seen widely, his admirers place him on a plane with artists such as Fellini, Bergman, Ozu, and Bresson. The essays examine his legacy from two perspectives: films made after his death by other filmmakers who used his scripts, and the prescient thematic, stylistic, and philosophical elements of his work that have been incorporated into a variety of films and television serials created since his death.
