Publisher Comments:

Putting soul back into the process of healing, this book paves the way for a truly holistic medicine.

Synopsis:

Asklepios was the gentle Greek god of healing. Like Christ, he was said to have walked the earth performing miracle cures. His medicine was practiced by priests who interpreted patients' dreams in which the god gave advice. Dr. Tick's classic work explores dream-healing techniques from this ancient tradition.

Dr. Tick has visited the places where the cult of the ancient Greek god of healing, Asklepios, was known. From his travels with groups seeking healing at these sites, and his own research into the dream incubation practices of the Greeks, he comes up with a method modern people can use today for their health and well-being. He himself describes his own healing done in the manner of the devotees of Asklepios, with dream incubation at home.
For those interested in alterative methods of medicine, and for those who work with their dreams, Dr. Tick's book is a guide and a revelation.
