This is one of the best gardening books I have come across. Contains a wide range of perennials with complete care instuctions, gorgeous photos and has been an essential reference book. My copy's pages are well muddied, dogeared, and scribbled upon. A must for any flower gardener.

"Review" by , "I bought [this book] as soon as it came out and have found it invaluable. It is well written and contains sound information about the cultural requirements of the plants, maintenance and how to prepare the beds."
"Review" by , "This excellent resource offers extensive in-depth instructions on pruning, dividing, deadheading, pinching, and other maintenance techniques for specific perennials."
"Review" by , "This is not just another pretty picture book on perennial flowers, although the author?s photos are superb. What you will find is a twofer, i.e., a comprehensive guide to growing perennials and a really good encyclopedia on perennials. And? It is truly a bargain considering how much good information is packed into one book."
"Synopsis" by , Timber Press's all-time bestseller! Tracy DiSabato-Aust has devoted years of study to creating showplace gardens with minimal maintenance. Her methods of pruning and shaping perennials, thoroughly explained and illustrated here, produce more flowers, encourage lush new growth, discourage pests, stagger bloom times, and maintain vigorous health. Readers have given us rave reviews of this book since publication.
