About the Author

Dr. Shimizu was born in 1912 and has nearly 50 years experience in the firework field, joining the world-renowned Japanese firm of Hosoya Firework Co. in 1951 and becoming manager-director of that firm. Later he became manager-director of PL Fireworks Co. in the 1960s, responsible for the enormous annual firework displays at PL Festival. He is prestly director of Koa Firework Co. in Saitama-ken, Japan. He has written four books about fireworks and many articles. He still travels all over the world to attend various conferences on pyrotechnics and firework display.

An all time classic, a must for pyrotechnist!!!As the title goes- the book discusses the structure, light and sound to describe the Art. The construction and formulary to describe the Science and Technique. The pyro master informs of the matters and procedure to manufcture both in hobby and commercial production. A pleasure-reading for both amateur and expert.
