This book, Investment Opportunities in CARICOM Agriculture is considered to be the most comprehensive and current publication on this topic. It begins with a review of the Caribbean area and the individual member states making up the CARICOM region After reviewing early settlement and the development of agriculture, right up to the present time, the book focuses on the contribution of agriculture to regional economic growth and development.Although Plantation Agriculture has made a significant contribution to the region's welfare, its catastropic decline during the last three decades, has now resulted in the need and urgency for change.
