Double fore-edge painting. Full burgundy straight-grain morocco decorated in gilt, black morocco label on the spine, inner dentelles gilt. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Spine faded. Light wear at the corners, joints, and spine ends. Bookplate on the front paste down. Very good condition.
The double fore-edge painting depicts Mount Tom from across the Connecticut River, along with the riverfront of Hartford, Connecticut, circa 1890.
