Fore-edge painting. Fine Victorian signed binding by Ramage. Full brown morocco panelled in blind, boards and spine decorated in gilt, inner dentelles gilt. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Frontispiece and several black & white plates by Ida Lovering. The fore-edge painting depicts Highgate from Parliament Hill Fields, overlooking the ponds.
Exterior rubbed, particularly along the joints. Colors of the fore-edge painting a bit darkened. Very good condition. BH/beh (case west 3)
