The Door Within is an awesome story! It is a book that captures your attention and takes you to the land of Alleble where you follow Aiden as he fights evil enemies and learns to respect his family more. I loved this book and I couldn’t put it down! Making a movie out of The Door Within would be epic.

“The Door within Trilogy, which is written by Wayne Thomas Batson, and he is a really amazing author,
if you ask me. The Book is about These 3 people who go to a Fantasy world, at different times, where
they are chosen to defend and protect, and obey the King. The titles of the books are
"The Door Within", "Rise of the Wyrm Lord", and "The Final Storm". The main character is Aiden
Thomas, and he is very miserable because he moves and has to live with his Grandfather because he is
in a Wheelchair, but then Aiden is somehow pulled to these Ancient Scrolls in His Grandfather's Basement
so he goes on an Adventure, where he trains to be a Knight,As one of the Three witnesses,
His name is"Seeker of The Lost", and He meets Glimpses, which are Humanoid
Natives of That world, that which have alot of the same characteristics of people in Aiden's world, they are also kinda
connected to them as well. If the Glimpse changes sides, it effects The human of themselves in
Aiden's world
They have white skin, and eyes that depending on which side they are on,
If on King Eliam's side, the King of Alleble, their eyes are Blue, if they are with Paragor, the
Bad Guy, their eyes are Red, and if They don't choose a side, their eyes are Green.
Antionette is a girl who meets Aiden in a class, and they become friends , because they had the same
interest in King Eliam's world, but I think , really they met because King Eliam wanted them to,
she is trained in Fencing, her Glimpse is Gwenne. Her sword is Thorinsagaet. As one of the three
witnesses, her name as that is "Child of Storms".
Robby is one of the Three Witnesses, he is Aiden's best friend, he is trained to be a Knight
, and becomes one of Twelve, His witness name is " Dragonfriend", his sword was "wyrmfel".
There are so many amazing characters in these books, they are so well described, and I can imagine
every character, I really love the atmosphere of Alleble. There seem to be some references in the
books from The Bible. Wayne Thomas Batson's Biblical reference, and Fantasy theme, are so well
put together, described, and written, from what I have read, Wayne put alot of thought into his books
and it has definetly paid off, his books have caught the eyes of alot of readers, young and old. There is even some humor in the books. :)
There was nothing that I didn't like about The Door Within. I couldn't wait to get my books, once I did, I couldn't put 'em down.
Aiden was an unlikely hero, but he proved worthy, and he got the greatest reward, I won't tell
you what it is, you have to read the books to find out.

The Door Within by Wayne Thomas Batson is about an unpopular teenager named Aidan Thomas. Aidan is forced to move away from his friends, school, and ultimately his life as he knows it when his Dad's job is transferred several states away. Adian is shocked and confused when he finds scrolls in the creepy basement of his new house. These scrolls tell of King Eliam and the mysterious Realm. This book is an intriguing beginning to an excellent series.

Having moved away from his best friend to a different state so that his parents could take care of his grandfather, Aidan Thomas is seriously bored. In a venture down to his house's basement, Aidan comes across scrolls that seem almost too real to be fantasy. Believing it to be true, even though his parents tell him it’s time to leave fairytales behind, he enters another world. The kingdom of Alleble. Arriving into the land he had read about, Aidan finds himself chosen as the Twelfth Knight, selected by the King himself to defend their land of Alleble against Paragor. Normal, wimpy Aidan is chosen for a special mission! They leave as soon as his training is done, but will they be in time to stop Paragor?
Sorry changed names for lack of confusion :)

"Publishers Weekly Review" by , "First-time author and middle-school teacher Batson leads young readers to a fantasy realm (filled with unusual names) where faith and sacrifice serve as essential tools in an epic battle between good and evil. Sound familiar? It will to many fantasy fans, as well as those familiar with the Bible. Aidan has a tough time when he moves from Maryland to Colorado with his parents so they can care for his grandfather; he hardly relishes starting high school as the new kid. But things take a bizarre turn when he ventures to his grandfather's basement and discovers some ancient scrolls containing what Grampin knows as 'the Story.' The scrolls encourage Aidan to believe — the key to the Door Within — and to follow the light of the everlasting King of the Realm. Though God and the Bible are never mentioned by name, the comparisons are clear and sometimes more than obvious (Aidan's family name is Thomas, as in doubters; a traitor and warrior is named Acsriot, an anagram of Iscariot; an evil lieutenant goes by Lord Rucifel, an anagram of Lucifer, etc.). Christian readers will likely draw the parallels as an interesting puzzle and perhaps an introspective exercise. And readers of any faith can enjoy the layers of action and adventure here, replete with knights, dragons and powerful swords in what is the first of a planned trilogy. Ages 10-14. (Sept.)" Publishers Weekly (Copyright Reed Business Information, Inc.)
"Synopsis" by , A new best friend, a new image at school, and the arrival of summer vacation for a change, things were looking up for Aidan Thomas. That is, until his parents make a devastating announcement: his family is moving. Strange events trouble Aidan in the days before the move: a small pewter dragon winks, something monstrous flies overhead, and fiery blue eyes appear in the dark corners of a basement. When Aidan and his family move into their new home, the events only intensify. Aidan discovers an ancient scroll that invites the reader into a medieval kingdom known as Alleble — if only the key can be found to the door within.

The Door Within is the meaning, hope, and challenge of Christianity enveloped in high-adventure fantasy. It will encourage the faithful, while at the same time, leading those on the outside a little closer to the door where Jesus knocks and waits. The Rise of the Wyrm Lord (January 2006)

The Twelfth Knight (August 2006)

"Synopsis" by , There is an unseen world of good and evil where nightmares are fought and hope is reborn. Enter The Door Within.

Aidan Thomas is miserable. And it's much more than the strange nightmares he's been having. Just when life seemed to be coming together for Aidan, his parents suddenly move the family across the country to take care of his wheelchair-bound grandfather. When strange events begin to occur, Aidan is drawn into his grandfather's basement where he discovers three ancient scrolls and an invitation to another world.

No longer confined to the realm of his own imagination, Aidan embarks on an adventure where he meets knights, warriors, kings and mysterious Glimpses who can travel between worlds. Aidan joins them in the struggle between good and evil. With the fate of two worlds hanging in the balance, Aidan faces Paragory, the eternal enemy. Will Aidan be willing to risk everything and trust the unseen hand of the one true King? The answer comes from The Door Within.
