New Paltz Mayor Jason West will re-shape American politics for decades to come. As one of the America's youngest mayors, he has led his NY village through a serious of revolutionaries changes: reed-bed filtration, solar power and, as internationally reported, the only East Coast mayor to perform same-sex marriages. West went toe-to-toe with NY AG, now Governor-elect, Eliot Spitzer over the civil rights of same-sex couples. Though West is still under an injunction to not perform same-sex marriages, criminal charges were dropped against him. This Green Party leader's book lays out both his philosophy and the changes needed to make America a more democratic and just country.
