A truly suspenseful Victorian mystery. Collins was a contemporary of Dickens, so while the time and place may feel familiar, the puzzling drama and moodiness make this a page-turner. Even though I first read it years ago, its story and characters still pop into my head on a regular basis. Like the enigmatic woman in white herself, this novel is haunting.

The novel is about the story of a woman dressed in white whose heart and character was as white and pure as her dress. it is about the sacrifice of a true woman for another woman just to pay for the kindness her mother done on her. Its also about treachery and people who appears to be nice but inwardly they are different from what they actually pretend to be. But at the end the novel also gives us the message of the success of true love.
