Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Now in paperback, Journals includes never-before-seen material that will keep everyone talking.

Review:

"An engrossing collection of clues." Entertainment Weekly

Review:

"His words kick and scream." Chicago Daily Herald

Review:

"The year's most fascinating, heart-breaking rock book." Rolling Stone

Review:

"Eighty percent of this book made me feel as if I were examining someone's dirty underwear, or perhaps watching someone in the apartment across the way do something unspeakable. Maybe this is reason enough for Kurt Cobain's journal entries and letters to have been published at all: They're a harrowing warning to all young artists to protect their talent at whatever cost." Adrienne Miller, Esquire (read the entire Esquire review)

Synopsis:

Now in paperback, Cobain's journals reveal an artist who loved records, who knew the history of rock, and who was determined to define his place in that history. Full color.

An excellent book, It lets you get inside Kurt's head and truly understand his state of mind. It's hard to read at times due to the fact that it is personal and dark in some places. Kurt Cobain's writing is great if he didn't make it as a rockstar he would have been an excellent writer or artist. Some of the artwork he drew in these journals is amazingly realistic and well drawn.
I'm glad they have published some of Kurt's journals, they are amazing.
