Very nice handy size to carry in your crochet bag, for answers to potential problems. Eckman has an excellent way of explaining common problems, how to avoid them, and how to fix them. Together with her experience in teaching, she is very competent at explaining and illustrating problems and how to solve them. If you can only carry one crochet book with you, this would be the one. Highly recommended.

If your crocheted project has ever surprised or puzzled you by it's unexpected behavior, you probably need this book. Maybe you are an avid textile worker who quilts, weaves, knits, etc. When you decide to work on crocheting for awhile, it's sometimes hard to remember all the rules, this book will help. I have this in my crafting library. I've been helped by it a number of times after Googling for answers didn't work or was too time cumbersome. I think I'll just go straight to the book from now on. Live and learn...

Wouldn't it boost your confidence to have an experienced and confident crocheter on call, day and night, offering assistance when needed? Most of us aren't fortunate enough to have that kind of aid, but now there is help available 24/7 with The Crochet Answer Book.
Being a "good" crocheter is not about making perfectly stitched, elaborate, artful creations. It is rather a matter of confidence. You need to be confident in what you are doing and in how to figure out what to do if things aren't going quite right. Understanding why you do certain things and why they turn out the way they do increases confidence and leads to successful crocheting.
This book answers some of the most common questions crocheters have, and anticipates some questions you didn't know you had. The Crochet Answer Book will lead you down the road to gaining the confidence that makes for good crocheting.
