This is an important book for any knitter. We can use knitting to slow down in a fast-paced culture, while helping charities in our community, and around the world. Betsy Greer shows us how.

The overarching message in this book: no act of kindness or subversion is too small to change the world. Greer recounts how her journey from knitting as personal pastime morphed into knitting as social activism, and encourages all knitters to find their do-good niche through the craft. Knitting for Good has shown me a way to take my knitting out into the world, to help others heal from disease and tragedy, and I can't wait to get started.

"Synopsis" by , Once considered a grandmotherly craft, knitting is now embraced by new generations of young, socially and politically conscious crafters. For these knitters, their craft is a way to slow down in a fast-paced culture. Greer shows how knitting can help create positive change in the world.
