"Reinventing Fire" is a book that every American should read. It is a must read for anyone that considers themselves to be an advocate for sustainable living, but before warned that this is not an easy read. There’s an overwhelming volume of charts, tables, figures and facts, but don’t let that stop you from reading to the end. All of it is absolutely essential to prove Lovins’ assertion that the burning of fossil fuels for energy production is no longer our cheapest option. He presents us with a practical choice in how we proceed into the future

Reinventing Fire takes us from wondering what to do about the devastating effects of our energy usage to putting us in the drivers seat on the road to a future powered by clean, safe and abundant energy.

A must read for every American and a should be textbook for every classroom. While our political leaders are running around debating cap and trade, emissions treaties, fracking, or worse yet just ignoring the fossil fuel problem, Amory Lovins and his dedicated gang at the Rocky Mountain Institute have quietly put together the manifesto for achieving the era of sustainable energy.

Using understandable data, charts, logic, ideas, Lovins and his RMI have us off coal and oil by the year 2050 and at the same time growing our economy and saving trillions of dollars. No gloom or doom here: just solutions. Solutions that we can all have a hand in implementing.

If you are ready for a breath of fresh air, or looking for reasons to be optimistic about the future, invest a few bucks and a few hours in Reinventing Fire. You'll be glad you did.

This book paints a clear and factual picture of a world we should all be striving for.
It points out the advantages ecomnomically and strategically of freeing ourselves of oil and gas dependance.
It is not laden with heavy critism of any individuals or organizations. It simply lays out a road map and shows the arguments for following it.
Clear and concise lanquage. A credit to the author.
