At Our Houseby Isabel Minhos Martins
Graphic, vibrant, and superfun, At Our House is an amazing counting book that tallies unconventional things such as freckles, nostrils, and the lengths of intestines. It subtly and adorably gives a sense of family and togetherness. Reading Oldham's book feels like snuggling on the couch watching cartoons.
Synopses & Reviews
Counting is fun, but its a lot more fun when you can count things like fingers and tongues and freckles. At Our House is a charming adventure through the eyes of one household and the bodies that are in it. Vibrantly illustrated, each page counts up the number of toes and teeth, and even length of intestines children might find in their own family, in a hilarious (and gross!) story that children will love.
Humans arenandrsquo;t the only ones on Earth who travel long distances. Many birds, fish, and mammals migrate hundreds of miles in search of food, warmer climates, or places to raise their young. But itandrsquo;s not just the incredible distances these creatures travel; itandrsquo;s the way they do it that makes us slow down and think . . .
