I have used these short stories for the past two years in my classroom of 8th graders. They have enjoyed the stories and the outcomes. I am now teaching 9th grade and I am about to incorporate these stories into the 2nd semster.

I could not put this book down....All the stories are relevant to today's society and should not be restricted or hidden from children. Reality can be ugly and can be beautiful and Chris crutcher has displayed both in this book.
