behavior. In this volume he distilled his ideas concerning the
aggregate effects of individual micro-behavior on large macro-
outcomes for a general audience, including his theory of racial
dynamics first outlined in his more technical, yet widely cited, 1971
paper "Dynamic Models of Segregation." Also included in the volume is
his Nobel lecture, which provided a game theoretic perspective on the
dynamics of nuclear weapons.
