Talk about your fractured fairy tales....Transformations is a compilation of what fairy tales were meant to be but with a modern twist. No happily ever after here. If one knows a little about her history one can discover many unpleasant references to Anne's parents. Don't just read the familiar stories first, start at the beginning and go.
Lovely illustrations, too. If you are lucky, find a cassette tape of "Voice of the Poet" and Anne can read you to sleep with the Little Peasant.
