Synopses & Reviews

Book News Annotation:

In his 1996 doctoral dissertation for Marquette University, Molinari declines to look for parallels to the New Testament in the Nag Hammadi text, and instead applies historical-critical methods to focus on understanding it as it is presented. He also addresses what he sees as its defining characteristic of allegorical imagery. He includes the 11-page text as translated by Douglas M. Parrott and Robert McL. Wilson with a few changes. He does not index the work.
