This is a great book... the second I ever learned to read. I remember that before my mother bought me this book, I read a "Dick and Jane"-level book which was terribly boring. Mouse Tales doesn't assume that the child can't sound out words for themselves, and therefore it isn't afraid to actually tell a story... seven of them to be exact! Your kids deserve this book.
