Publisher Comments:

Little Bear is so pleased with the picture he has drawn that he asks Hen to take it to his grandmother. Grandmother is so happy with it that she sends him back a thank-you kiss.

How the kiss is passed from Grand-mother, to Hen, to Cat, to Little Skunk, to a pretty girl skunk, and back to Little Skunk, and how eventually it comes again to Hen and finally to Little Bear will delight children just learning to read.

Else Holmelund Minarik and Maurice Sendak, the creators of the first Little Bear book for beginning readers, once again blend their extraordinary talents in a tender story filled with warmth and laughter.

Synopsis:

Grandmother likes Little Bear's picture so much she sends him a thank you kiss. "Will you take it to him, Hen?" she says. Hen passes the kiss to Frog who passes it to Cat who passes it to Little Skunk until Hen decides there is too much kissing — and finally gives the kiss to the Little Bear.

I just want to let you know that the author, Else Minarik, does not live in New England. She is alive and well and still writing!! She is a wonderful person and not long ago, blessed me with an original, signed copy of her first little bear book. Just thought you'd be interested. I cannot reveal exactly where she now resides but it is not in the north.
Thanks
