Publisher Comments:

An exciting and stunningly original new voice in Regency Era historical romance fiction, Jenny Brown works magic, mixing sensual romance with astrology for a truly unforgettable Star Crossed Seduction. Following the success of her sensational debut novel, Lord Lightning, Jenny continues her Lords of the Seventh House series—in which each hero is a different sign of the Zodiac—with an enthrallingly romantic tale of a British Captain of the Dragoons, a sexy Scorpion, who is smitten by a beautiful pickpocket bent upon revenge. A dark and sensual story reminiscent of the acclaimed novels of Loretta Chase, Anna Campbell, and Mary Balogh, but with a very tantalizing touch of the occult thrown in, Star Crossed Seduction is top-flight historical romance with a uniquely unforgettable difference.

Synopsis:

A beautiful thief has stolen the heartof the one man in London whosesecrets are as dangerous as her own . . .

Shrewd and wily, pickpocket Temperance Smithneeds no mans favor to survive on Londonsunforgiving streets—even when shes caught red-handedby an officer of the hated dragoons.

On leave from India to find a proper bridein London, Captain Miles Trevelyan is easy prey for aseasoned pickpocket like Temperance. But whenthe dazzling thief steals first his wallet, then his heart, his pursuit throws them into a deadly world oftreason and betrayal that will force them to questioneverything they know about love, loyalty, and desire. For there can be no middle ground forthese two stormy-tempered Scorpios entangledin the star-crossed romance that threatensto destroy them both . . .

About the Author

Jenny Brown earned a graduate degree in 19th-century history. Her very first professional sale as a writer was a biographical pieceabout Louisa May Alcotts childhood. Years later, her favoritehobby continues to be reading biographies of people who livedin the 18th and 19th centuries. She has earned her livingin many different ways: performing as a singer-songwriter inWestern Massachusetts and Nashville, writing nonfiction, and,for the past fifteen years, running a successful small press.

Jenny has been a student of astrology since her teens. This ancientart helps her make sense of her life and accept that the way she is,with all her oddities, is the way shes supposed to be. Though shehas always loved reading love stories set in the past, what got herwriting them was finding, at last, the Hero of Her Own Romance.
