Two books in one is always a good deal, and that's exactly what this is! The first half contains the Secrets of the Clans book and the second half is the Code of the Clans book. So if you already have read those two books, don't be disappointed that this is a copy of those two combined.
I enjoyed the Secrets half better. It's a whole bunch of short stories, most of which are told in first 'person' from the view of one of the clan cats. So you get to enjoy seeing things from different points of view and from each clan. The downside is it reads like a book for younger readers. The tone seems to be set for a younger reader than the series books.
The second half was worth reading because we find out why the Warrior Codes are so important. Unfortunately most of the codes have been put in place from something bad, sad, and/or tragic, so I found it rather depressing, which is why I only gave this book 3 stars.
