About the Author

Asoke K. Talukder is DaimlerChrysler Chair and Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Bangalore, India. Internationally renowned for his technical innovations, he set up India's first X.25 network in 1986 and created India’s first Java Center in 1998. Mr. Taluker has held positions around the world with companies such as HP, Microsoft, Oracle, and NEC.

Roopa R. Yavagal is a wireless engineer with Symphony Services in Bangalore, India. She has extensive experience in developing applications for cellular companies in the GSM, CDMA, and GPRS domains
