About the Author
Tom Meade (San Francisco, CA) is a 3D effects artist, instructor, and writer. He teaches Maya at SFSU’s Multimedia Studies Program and has done 3D illustrations and visual effects work for Wired Magazine and dvGarage, a 3D training company. Meade currently works as a 3D technician for Pulse Entertainment, a company that produces 3D animation for such high-profile clients as AOL/Time Warner, NBC online, Warner Brothers/WB Online, and the Jim Henson Creature Shop. Shinsaku Arima (San Francisco, CA) is a 3D artist and instructor who currently works at Dreamworks. His credits include work on heavily effects-driven movies such as The Matrix: Reloaded, Hell Boy, and The Day After Tomorrow. Arima taught 3D animation at the Academy of Art College, Mesmer Animation Labs, and the SF Art Institute.
