First in a triology that follows a boy from childhood to WWII. In Run with the Horsemen, our main character is growing up on the family farm in Georgia during the depression with his quirky family, immediate and not so immediate, and follows up to his high school graduation. With life here at this time in history, he seems to get into trouble and learns life's lessons that remind the reader of other coming of age stories, such asTo Kill A Mockingbird or The Catcher in The Rye. One read not to be missed, it will make you laugh more often the cry, it makes you remember back to yestertear.
