Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Volume 2 of Topics in Fluorescence Spectroscopy focuses on the principles governing fluorescence and the experimental observables.

Book News Annotation:

The second in an ongoing series (see preceding entry), the first three volumes of which are intended to serve as an advanced text. The field is rapidly evolving, attracting renewed interest because of new applications in the physical and life sciences due to advances in time resolution, methods of data analysis, and improved instrumentation. Among the topics addressed in eight contributions: fluorescence anisotropy, fluorescence quenching, resonance energy transfer, least- squares analysis, and fiber-optic sensors.
