Jeannie Lin grew up fascinated with stories of Western fantasy and Eastern martial arts adventures. She started writing her first romance while working as a high school science teacher in South Central L.A. After four years of trying to break into publishing, her  Asian-set historical, Butterfly Swords, won the 2009 Golden Heart and sold to Harlequin Mills & Boon.
