While I have not yet read this book, I plan to because of the reputation of the author. Linda Rief is one of those rare teachers who thinks deeply about the important art of teaching and refuses to sell out to the movement to nationalize, standardize, and homogenize public schools. When the smoke clears 20 years from now, more will have an opportunity to notice she was one of the few who thought to open the windows and turn on the fan.
