In this heartwarming picture book author Will Smith blends his lyrical talent with the amazing artistry of Kadir Smith. The blending of these remarkable artistic personalities tells the story of a father’s love for his son. The story begins with a look at a father’s feelings for his newborn son and travels through a lifetime of love and fatherly advice. Will Smith’s advice to his son touches on important issues of hate, anger and broken hearts. His message of love in the book is clear but, it is also a call for fathers to teach their sons to be honest men of integrity and honor. Kadir Nelson brings the story to life with vivid pictures. The illustrations are dramatic with a bold flair that adds an amazing life to the hit rap song, of the same name, featured in this loving tribute to fatherhood.
